ATAC (Advanced Tactical and Combat) provides foundational tactical training to both American citizens and law enforcement agencies.
Major (Ret.) Travis Worlock, born in 1968 in Stone Mountain, Georgia to Jerry and Jeannie Worlock, brings over three decades of military and tactical experience to the organization. Now 50, Travis began shaping his disciplined path early on, graduating from Riverside Military Academy in 1986 before attending Marion Military Institute.
Before completing college, Travis enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1991 as an Infantryman. Following basic training, his first assignment was with the 24th Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia, where he served as a mechanized infantryman. In 1992, he received his first overseas posting to Camp Hovey, Korea, with the 2nd Infantry Division.
After returning stateside, Travis completed both Airborne and Ranger School, earning assignments with the Long Range Surveillance Detachment of the 24th Infantry Division. There, he deployed to the Arizona–Mexico border in support of a federal counter-drug mission, working alongside the DEA, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Border Patrol.
In 1994, he was selected for and successfully completed the Special Forces Assessment and Selection Course at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He went on to graduate from the Special Forces Qualification Course as a Special Forces Communications Sergeant.
