Michael Blumenthal is a seasoned real estate developer with extensive business interests across California and Hawaii. With over 35 years of experience in the field, he has led and participated in numerous high-profile joint ventures in Los Angeles, La Jolla, San Diego, Waikiki, San Francisco, and Seattle.
Blumenthal holds a degree in Business and Management from NYU and Pace University. He later earned an MBA from the University of Washington and Seattle University, further solidifying his foundation in finance and strategic development.
In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and completed Infantry Officer Candidate School and Airborne training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was subsequently assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. In December 1967, his brigade was deployed to Vietnam, where he served as Assistant S-2 during the Tet Offensive of 1968. For his service, Blumenthal was awarded two Bronze Stars and an Air Medal.
After being honorably discharged in 1969, he began his civilian career at Ernst & Young, working in management consulting and auditing. He then transitioned into investment banking, where he specialized in structuring large-scale mortgages and facilitating the sale of major industrial, office, and residential developments.
